Summer Italian-Style Banquet
Caswell House: Quintessential, fairy tale Cotswold Barns

The Brief

The bride and groom were keen to serve a beautifully balanced tasting menu using the best of the Summer’s produce. In Lydia & Jules’s own words, the food had to be ‘amazing’. A lot of thought, trialling of dishes, communication and planning over a number of weeks went into the creation of this Italian-inspired wedding tasting menu.

The Detail
Lots of Canapés and Prosecco to be served in the beautiful historic lawned courtyard, followed by a wedding tasting menu in the lovingly restored medieval barns.

The Day
A perfectly relaxed and stylish day with the food very much the focus. Canapés and a Six course tasting menu lay ahead of this party so we certainly didn’t want to rush. With intricate dishes requiring perfect timing and a wine flight to serve our Front of House Team needed to work in harmony with the Chefs. The celebration menu was rounded off with chilled Limoncello shots with dessert. For evening grazing Lydia and Jules continued the Italian theme with grazing boards and bowls of bite sized melting Mozzarella Arancini balls and a free-flowing bar!

Lydia and Jules ….. In their words ‘

Long before we considered getting married, we said that if we did, then the food had to be amazing. We wanted the very best menu and were not bothered by the unimportant things. It was all about the food. So we brought our ambitious ideas to Indulgence and they relished to opportunity to work with us to make them a reality. Through the work on menus and tasting through to the extra wine staff, and the simply phenomenal co-ordination and exquisite execution on the day. It was a joy. The professionalism of their staff was only matched by the quality of the menu. 7 courses was an ambitious task but delivered beautifully, presented perfectly, taste was sensational and people still comment both the food and staff. It was a perfect day that we would relive over and over again. A wonderful marriage, a great party, super company and an amazing menu.’

The Brief

A relaxed day was planned of Feasting and family sharing, plentiful platters & bowls. Simple yet delicious were very much the buzz words here for us to work on.

The Detail
Pimms, Canapes and Champagne were served on the rolling lawns overlooking the beautiful Cotswold countryside, moving into the chic, contemporary restored hay barns for family feasting on long trestle tables.

The Day
Al & Mark were intent from the beginning that their wedding would be totally relaxed affair with a real feel of Cotswold farmhouse chic running through the food. With family & friends the focus, large platters of Whole Chickens BBQed and big beautiful Summer salads bursting with flavour and colour were the perfect match for the setting, views and vibe. Lots of laughs and happy voices filled the room. The simple but delicious theme carried on with the pudding of amazing warm brownies and lots of Summer berries. Later guests partied until the early hours fuelled by Summer Cocktails & Stone Baked Pizza’s, the perfect end to a perfect day!

‘Your wedding day should be the most memorable day of your life, this is why when it came to booking our venue and caterers it was so important to us that we were working with people that shared our vision, style and passion for good food! We had already secured our perfect venue and were lucky enough to be the first wedding at the absolutely stunning Primrose Hill Farm so with 'the' venue booked it was then time to secure 'the' caterers. Having previously experienced Indulgence, there was only one team that we knew would be able to provide top class service and outstanding food. We wanted our day to be relaxed and informal but whilst relaxed we also wanted to put on an amazing spread for our guests. The Indulgence team met with us to discuss our requirements and together we formed a menu that would suit the 'family style' dining. Boards with Cotswold chicken, large bowls of minted & buttered potatoes, & amazing salads followed by big bowls of strawberries, jugs of cream and platters of warm dark chocolate brownies. We didn't want a starter so opted instead for extra canapes for our guests to graze upon in the garden whilst sipping on bubbles. To this day everyone still talks about the food and how it was the best wedding they had ever been to! From start to finish nothing was too much trouble and everything impeccable, I cannot recommend Indulgence highly enough, if you want the best then there is only one choice. Indulgence!’

Winter Marquee Wedding
Thorpe Manor: Lovingly restored, grand luxe, Oxfordshire Manor House
Natasha & Henry Teare
120 Guests

The Brief
Real foodies through and through Tash & Henry wanted to create a menu to feature their favourite comfort Winter ingredients, good portions for Rugby playing lads, full of flavour but with perfect Michelin Stared elegance in the presentation to match the surroundings at Thorpe Manor.

The Detail
Logistically the event was to be in two parts, with a Champagne reception to be held in the newly renovated Grade II* listed Manor House followed by a Wedding Breakfast in a Marquee within the grounds.

The Day
Tash and Henry know how to throw a party, so lots of social time and the opportunity to mingle was very important to them and is at the heart of what makes Thorpe such a special place to hold a wedding. It was decided to drop a starter in favour of an abundance of delicious Winter Canapes to be served with flowing Champagne, as guests mingled across all the beautiful ground floor rooms. The Wedding Party then moved to a Marquee lit by candle light, guests collecting a warming Hot Whisky Toddy en route, made to Henry’s own recipe. The two course Wedding Breakfast was served interspersed by speeches. Balmoral Venison with Black Pepper featured followed by Henry’s childhood favourite, Banoffee pie, with a bang up to date twist. Cocktails from the bar were a big hit and for snacks later in the evening to keep the hungry dancers fuelled, Tash and Henry opted to keep things simple offering an amazing Cheese Board and their own wedding cake.

Natasha & Henry ….. In their words
To put it simply Indulgence delivered far beyond expectations. After having tried other caterers and been to countless weddings ourselves, there was simply no caterer outside of London that could match the sheer quality of food and service that we received. We gave a simple brief for what we wanted in terms of ingredients and flavours for our wedding and were given a full creative experience, with Anthony coming up with several options (all I may add were extraordinary!) for our wedding breakfast. During the entire day, the team at indulgence took up any slack and ensured the wedding went without a hitch. We could not recommend Indulgence highly enough.
